ANDREW'S PROFILE
Andrew Geils was born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. On matriculating from Michaelhouse School, he went on to various tertiary institutions in KwaZulu-Natal where he obtained a Diploma in Marketing, a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a post-graduate Masters degree in Business Administration. Throughout his professional career, Andrew has continued to update himself with the latest management theories and techniques, having completed internationally recognised qualifications in strategic planning, systems thinking (Theory of Constraints), Project Management, Business Process Re-engineering and Business Coaching. Andrew’s working career has spanned many industries, both locally and internationally, including the manufacturing, dairy and tyre industries. During this time he has held a variety of senior management positions covering General Management, Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Special Projects, He started Andrew Geils Associates in March 2001, and is its Managing Consultant. His passion is to leverage the potential of organisations and their leadership. Through a series of strategic alliances, he has created a collective competence in the integration of strategy (including the Balanced Scorecard), technology and people to improve individual and organisational performance. He has played an active role in the delivery of consulting services throughout Africa and the Middle East and has a solid reputation with the companies he has assisted. He is a member of Mensa. Andrew lectures on the MBA programme at the Graduate School of Business at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and is also actively involved in St Agnes Church Kloof.
